House of Pickles is a proud female-owned business, founded by me - Ineta.
Growing up in Lithuania during the fall of the USSR and the restoration of Lithuanian independence, I have learned the importance and skills of preserving and pickling from my grandmother and mother. My love of bold flavours was later shaped through travel, where I was fortunate to learn from inspiring grandmothers and “aunties” who introduced me to the vibrant tastes and traditions of Asian, Arabic and African cuisines. Every recipe celebrates the strong women in my life who generously shared their wisdom, knowledge and culinary heritage with me.
As a two-time cancer survivor, I place huge importance on what I put into my body. Pickles have always been an important part of my diet, providing a natural source of antioxidants and healthy gut bacteria. This philosophy is at the heart of everything I make. Every batch is handmade, using quality ingredients, with no added nasties, no additives or artificial preservatives—just a flavour explosion in every jar.
After settling with my family in the heart of the Peak District, just outside Buxton, UK, I was inspired by the beauty of the surrounding countryside to create a range of natural pickles and condiments that bring together traditional preserving methods, global flavours and a passion for wholesome food for you to enjoy.
